Faith, Hope & Strength Sunday

⛰️ The Mountain Isn’t There to Stop You—It’s There to Show You What God Can Do
Have you ever looked at a problem and thought…
“There’s no way I’ll ever get through this.”
Maybe it’s a mountain of debt.
A difficult diagnosis.
A job search that has gone on longer than you expected.
Learning a new language.
Starting over in a new country.
Trying to provide for your family while building a future.
For first-generation immigrants, mountains are familiar.
But throughout Scripture, mountains were often places where people encountered God’s power—not just their problems.
📖 Scripture for Today
Mark 11:22–24
“Have faith in God… Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
Jesus wasn’t teaching us to ignore reality.
He was teaching us not to let our circumstances become bigger than our faith.
The mountain may be real.
But so is God’s power.
The obstacle may be difficult.
But God has never been intimidated by difficult.
🌱 5 Truths to Remember This Week
🏔️ 1. Every Mountain Has a Purpose
Some mountains strengthen our faith.
Others prepare us for opportunities we couldn’t handle before.
The climb is shaping you.
🙏 2. Faith Doesn’t Eliminate Challenges
Faith gives us the courage to keep climbing, even when the summit isn’t visible.
👣 3. One Step Is Enough for Today
You don’t have to conquer the whole mountain today.
Just take the next faithful step.
💪 4. God Gives Strength for Today’s Climb
Don’t borrow tomorrow’s worries.
Ask God for today’s strength.
🌅 5. The View Is Different From the Top
One day you’ll look back and realize the mountain that once frightened you became the place where your faith grew the most.
📖 Another Promise to Hold Onto
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Notice that God doesn’t promise we won’t have to walk.
He promises we won’t walk alone.
💭 Sunday Reflection
What mountain are you facing today?
Instead of focusing on how big it is…
Ask yourself:
“How might God use this challenge to grow my faith and prepare me for what’s ahead?”
Share your thoughts in the comments. Your story may encourage someone else who is climbing their own mountain.
🙌 Sunday Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being greater than every mountain we face.
When we feel overwhelmed, remind us that You are our strength.
Help us to trust You when the path is steep, to persevere when we grow tired, and to remember that no obstacle is too great for Your power.
Teach us to walk by faith, one step at a time, knowing that You go before us and walk beside us.
May our journey become a testimony that points others to Your goodness.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
